Devlog 1 - Day 1: 11/17/25


- Thought up of the game idea that stems from Sneaky Assassins, the minigame from the Mineplex minecraft server.

- Title was decided on "The Accused Reverend".

- Thought of the lore for the game with the player being a man cursed to a monsterous form, then gets framed by a murderer.

- Player's goal is to find and kill the murderer.

- Decided on a 3 main endings (4 if I have time), based on a mercy system:

1. Players barely kills any villagers/guards (high mercy) and kills the murderer, so the villagers believe him.

2. Player kills a few villagers/guards (mid mercy) and kills the murderer, so the villagers only banish him.

3. Player kills lots of villagers/guards (low mercy) and kills the murderer, so the villagers hang him/burn him.

4. Player doesn't find the murderer in time and looses the game.

- Drew bush, human, guard, monster_right, monster_left, monster_down, monster_up, and spiky_bush textures.

- Found two maps of Salem, one showing houses and another showing roads, to use as reference for world map.
