Devlog 4 - Day 4: 11/20/25
- Spent all day working on the murderer AI. As of 3:00 PM, I have the murderer moving between set points, running away when in line
of the player, and going for a kill, but the kill system isn't working just yet.
- ERROR: When going to the kill of interest position, it first finds that position ONCE, then goes their to kill, if no villager is
their, villager continues. Might want to make it so the murderer continues following, but that could be a later update.
- Believed to have finished murderer AI, next will need to design the murderer's set path, as well as the markings left behind
on each murder and the screen shake as well.
- Camera shake affect now implemented.
- Removed space key from interact button, and created attack button used by clicking 1 or space.
- Set up a basic Attack_Radius Area2D in the player scene, giving basic code of printing when the player is eating.
- Finished coding the kill mechanic, but still need to draw a quick animation to play when eating the victim.
