7/19/25 DAY 9
- Vending machine mini game broke for some reason, so fixed it.
- Increased fall speed of cans in vending machine mini game.
- Added a timer to vending machine mini game that repeats spawning cans, fixing error of no cans in scene if the user doesn't click on them.
- Decided against the type-to-code mini game as it would take too long to make, gonna spend my time else where for the rest of today and till submitting time tomorrow.
- Made basic about mini game scene.
- Fixed "Nice!" label in layer order not showing when completed the mini game by putting it's z index to 25.
- Removed on screen button for switching scenes in House.
- Removed on screen button for switching scenes in layer order mini game.
- Removed on screen button for switching scenes in sound hunt mini game.
- Removed on screen button for switching scenes in city scene.
- Made minigame global variable.
- Now using minigame variable and about_minigame scene, when interacting with the desk and one of the minigames are chosen, it sets minigame variable to that game name and switches to about_minigame scene, where it proceeds to tell the user how to play the minigame. When the screen is clicked or enter is pressed, it enters that minigames scene.
- Added the vending machine mini game to the about mini game scene.
- Now going to interact with vending machine, takes to about for it, then to the mini game.
- Yoga class now increases mood by 15 as well.
- Cafe now increases thirst by 5 as well.
- After the lore introducing part of the intro scene, I added more dialogue to the slide show of text telling the user what they can do in the house and in the city. Ended the slideshow with "#JustGetStarted".
- Added blank slides to the intro dialogue after introducing the game and after introducing the game lore. It gives a sense of a break, a new thing that will be talked about. From game intro to game lore to game controls.
- Added "start" position to house scene, so when the game begins, rather than starting at the "exit" position at the door, it starts the user at the "start" position next to the bed and desk, the middle of the room.
- Removed on screen button for switching scenes in bug hunt scene.
- Made blank ending scene and when day gets to day 10, it switches to it.
- Drew petting_cat image and downloaded cat_pur sound effect.
- Added petting_cat image as background to cat scene.
- Added cat_pur sound effect to cat scene to play when the scene begins, last the entire scene (5s).
- Downloaded 3 different piano music files.
- In TimeManager script, when the game is first opened up, it chooses 1 of the 3 songs to play (using a function). Then when that song finishes, it plays the same function to choose 1 of the 3.
- Lowered the volume of the 3 songs significantly.
- Added label to title screen scene that says the title of the game.
- Added rain fall sound effect to game, continuously plays on repeat, always.
- Added rain animation sprite to city scene.
- Rain sound effects decreases every 10% the progress bar increases, with 100% progress completely stopping the rain sound effect.
- Rain gets more transparent every 10% the progress bar increases, with 100% progress completely making the rain transparent.
- Drew arcade, restaurant, square_ui, and rect_ui images.
