7/11/25 DAY 1

- Made the project with the title "Hope in the Rain" and folder structure created.

- Made a global Day/Night cycle.

- Made global hunger, thirst, tiredness, mood, and progress variables.

- Initial concept for the game: “Hope in the Rain” is a semi-narrative-driven 2D pixel art game about a game developer who  signs up for a game jam but struggles to begin due to depression. After five in-game days of isolation and stagnation,  the player finally finds the motivation to "just get started" (this is where the jam's theme comes in). Balancing hunger, thirst, tiredness, and mood, the player must manage time wisely between working, resting, and avoiding in-game distractions.  As progress is made, the rain outside gradually begins to fade — a visual metaphor for emotional recovery. The game ends with a animation reflecting how much progress was made, reminding us that even in the storm, there's still hope.

- Added a UI of 4 basic progress bars that show what the four player variables are at.

- Labeled the 4 progress bars.

- Added a label that tells the hour (rounding down always) and adds o'clock to the end of it.

- Added a label that tells what day of the jam the user is on out of 10 (starting at 5).

- Found the color palette called "Atardecer Palette". Link: https://lospec.com/palette-list/atardecer

- Drew the following animations for the player: front-idle, back-idle, right-idle, left-idle, right-walk, left-walk, foreward-walk, and backward-walk.

- Coded the movement, along with it's movement animations and idle animations.

- Created a very basic title screen scene with button to go to main scene.

- Created a basic menu system.
